Hyperice Scores $48M

Hyperice, an Irvine-based sports recovery product maker, today said it raised $48 million in a Series A round with a $700 million valuation.

The financing was led by investment firms Main Street Advisors and SC.Holdings, with participation from a number of professional athletes and sports associations.

Backers include tennis star Naomi Osaka, professional golfer Rickie Fowler, and basketballers Trae Young, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Seth Curry, among others.

The investment arm of the National Football League and National Basketball Association also contributed.
