Grosses Donate $10M to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach

Pacific Investment Management Co. founder Bill Gross and his wife, Sue, president of the Gross Family Foundation, have donated $10 million to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.

The gift will support Mission Laguna’s emergency medical services, including facility expansion and enhancement, as well as new imaging technologies.

The hospital said its emergency department will now be known as the Sue and Bill Gross Emergency Department at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.

The Grosses are Laguna Beach residents.

Mission Laguna was previously known as South Coast Medical Center. Irvine-based St. Joseph Health acquired it five years ago from Roseville-based Adventist Health.
