Nancy Alvarez, assistant dean of experiential education and continuing professional development for Chapman University’s School of Pharmacy, was inducted Monday as the 162nd president of the American Pharmacists Association.
She succeeds another Chapman professor, Lawrence Brown, as head of the world’s largest professional society of pharmacists, based in in Washington, D.C.
Alvarez at the pharmacy school designs experiential curriculum, identifies experiential sites and supports experiential educators to deliver practical pharmacy education and facilitate student pharmacists’ learning.
