BD Advanced Patient Monitoring, the former Critical Care unit of Edwards Lifesciences, released its first major product.
The company yesterday announced that it launched the HemoSphere Alta platform, an advanced version of its hemodynamic monitor with predictive artificial intelligence to help identify blood pressure instability.
“HemoSphere Alta™ marks the latest milestone in our continuum of connected care innovations by redefining the clinician experience with more efficient workflows and increased usability,” BD APM President Tim Patz said in a statement.
It’s the first product launch for BD APM since it was acquired by Becton Dickinson and Co. for $4.2 billion last September.
