Avanir Pharmaceuticals is adding 43,000 square feet to its 69,000 square feet of space in Aliso Viejo.
Avanir moved to the city from San Diego in 2006 and was bought by Japan’s Osaka Pharmaceutical Co. for $3.5 billion in 2015. It makes drugs to treat central nervous system disorders.
South OC has seen several expanded office leases recently including by device maker MicroVention Inc. and lab testing firm Ambry Genetics.
