Allergan Plc. said it appointed Adriane Brown to its board of directors, effective in February. Brown is president and chief operating officer of Intellectual Ventures LLC, a privately held company in Bellevue, Wash., that provides invention-related services and buys patents.
Brown fills a new seat on the board.
“[Adriane Brown] has operational know how and a proven track record of developing and growing technologies and products across a network of global R&D centers and manufacturing plants,” Allergan Chairman and Chief Executive Brent Saunders said in a news release. “Adriane’s public board experience, understanding the value of innovation and experience developing and protecting intellectual property complements the experiences of our current board.”
Allergan is based in Dublin, Ireland, and has U.S. offices in New Jersey and Irvine. The Irvine campus focuses on eyecare and aesthetic medicine.
