Irvine-based Wienerschnitzel has named Rusty Bills as chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Bills has been promoted from his previous role as vice president of operations, and has worked with parent company, Galardi Group Inc., for the past 15 years. He was first hired as a franchise business consultant in the Sacramento area in 2007.
The new executive will oversee cost savings, technology advancements, and operational efficiencies across all three of Galardi’s brands including Tastee Freez and Hamburger Stand.
Bills’ appointment marks the hot dog franchise’s third executive change in 2022, following Galardi’s rise to CEO and newly named CFO Michael Nishi.
Wienerschnitzel – OC’s ninth largest restaurant company by sales – counts 350 franchised restaurants in the U.S. with 50 more units currently in development.
