Mountain Mike’s Pizza has appointed Sumi Ghosh as its new chief operating officer and president.
Ghosh arrives at the pizza franchise with more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including over 12 years at Starbucks in leadership roles such as CEO of Starbucks India and additional executive roles at Nike, Dutch Bros and Yum! Brands.
“Sumi’s long and successful track record has fueled operational consistency, excellence and profitability across the consumer business landscape, and his contributions will be invaluable to scaling our operations while maintaining our brand DNA,” Chief Executive Jim Metevier said in a statement.
Ghosh succeeds previous executive Steve Adyani, who was appointed chief operations officer in March.
Mountain Mike’s counts over 315 restaurants across 11 states and is pushing to reach 400. The pizza franchise reports annual system sales of almost $300 million.
