Midday Stock Roundup

Major U.S. stock indexes rallied in Monday midday stock trading to record highs following last week’s volatility, with the S&P 500 increasing nearly 1% to 4,484.86 and the Nasdaq rising 1.5% to 14,941.08.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.7% to 35,385.30.

Crude oil rose 5.6% to $65.62.

Gold jumped 1.2% to $1,805.50.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 0.6% to 1.255%.

RESTAURANTS

Irvine-based Kura Sushi USA Inc. (Nasdaq: KRUS) increased 8.5% to $47.23 and a $459 million market cap. Shares in the revolving sushi bar are being traded at less than half their average daily volume and have surged more than 160% since the start of the year.

ENERGY
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE), OC’s largest public clean tech firm, rose 6.4% to $7.23 for a $1.6 billion market cap. Shares in the Newport Beach-based company are still down nearly 50% since February.
