Juice It Up to Expand to San Diego

First Location to Open in San Marcos in Late 2023

Newport Beach-based Juice It Up has signed a six-unit development deal to expand to San Diego County for the first time.

The agreement was signed with franchisor HGW Capital LLC to expand the juice chain’s footprint throughout the region within the next five years including Vista, Escondido, Chula Vista, National City and San Marcos. The first location in the market will open in San Marcos in late 2023.

Juice It Up has over 24 locations in development currently and maintains its goal to open 200 total stores by 2027. The chain counts 85 locations as of May with 14 in Orange County.

“As Juice It Up continues to ramp up development activities throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, San Diego County is a natural next step for the brand, and it’s especially notable because it brings Juice It Up to Southern California in its entirety and reinforces our brand position,” Carlo Verdugo, VP of operations and business development, said in a statement.

Juice It Up ranks No. 26 on the Business Journal’s list of OC-based restaurant chains and reported $45.5 million in systemwide sales for 2022.
