Jack in the Box Inc. (Nasdaq: JACK) has appointed Tom Rose as Del Taco’s new brand president, effective immediately.
Rose replaces Chad Gretzema, who has held the post since July 2022. He exits in order to pursue a new opportunity, according to officials.
Rose holds 30 years in the restaurant industry having co-founded franchise management firm North Star Foods in 2006 which owned 130 KFC and Taco Bell locations. He has also worked in leadership positions at Orion Food Systems and was previously an area coach and director of operations at Taco Bell and KFC.
Rose most recently worked for Jack in the Box in the Kansas City market as a consultant.
“We are excited for Tom to evolve Del Taco to its next phase of growth and operational excellence, as he has demonstrated throughout his entire career,” Jack’s Chief Executive Darin Harris said in a statement.
Del Taco, based in Lake Forest, counts around 600 restaurants across 15 states. It is the sixth largest local restaurant chain with $957 million in systemwide sales for 2022, according to Business Journal data.
