BJ’s Restaurants Inc. reported fourth quarter revenue rose 3.2% to $355 million, beating analysts’ estimates of $353.8 million.
The full-service restaurant company said comparable restaurant sales increased 2.6% for the quarter ended Dec. 30, marking its sixth consecutive quarter of sales and traffic growth.
“During the fourth quarter, we continued to deliver on our mission to create a stronger and more consistent BJ’s,” Chief Executive Lyle Tick said in a statement. He added that BJ’s Restaurants was able to increase traffic by over 4% during the quarter.
Total revenues for the year met the general analyst forecast with a 3.1% increase to $1.4 billion.
BJ’s Restaurants, based in Huntington Beach, owns and operates more than 215 restaurants. Shares were unchanged in after-hours trading. During regular trading, shares were up 1.2% to $40.88 and a $904 million market cap (Nasdaq: BJRI).
