Juice It Up to Add NM Units

Irvine-based Juice It Up said Albuquerque franchisee It Takes Two LLC plans to add two locations in New Mexico.

The franchisee opened the chain’s first location in that state in 2013.

The first of the two new sites is expected to open this year.

The juice-and-smoothie chain said it has had month-over-month net sales growth of 50% for the last two years.

Juice It Up has about 80 locations in five states, and it’s expected to close in on 100 sites by the end of this year.

The franchise fee to open a location is $25,000, plus 8% for royalties and marketing.

The chain’s parent company is Balboa Brands Inc., also in Irvine.
