Del Taco Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: TACO) is set to expand into Virginia via the Lake Forest-based chain’s latest franchise development deal.
The company said the group Virginia Taco LLC has signed on to develop 10 Del Taco locations in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Hampton and Newport News.
The deal would make Virginia the 17th state Del Taco has a presence in, with about 600 restaurants total comprising the chain.
Del Taco shares were trading up 2.9% to $8.75 on Monday for a market cap of $318.4 million.
