Irvine-based Yogurtland Franchising Inc. said a new franchisee in Thailand plans to open 15 stores there.
The frozen yogurt chain said Sports Revolution Group is set to open its first two locations in Bangkok this month.
Sports Revolution Group is headed by Chief Executive Pornsak Chinawongwatana. It also operates retail apparel stores for Nike, Adidas and Croc shoes in that country, Yogurtland said.
The franchisee is expected to invest between $5 million and $12 million for the 15 stores, according to Business Journal estimates.
Yogurtland has about 300 locations in the U.S. and six foreign countries. It said it plans to open about 50 locations in the first six months of 2015.
