Irvine-based Yard House saw quarterly same-store sales increase by 3.7% year-over-year according to the most recent report from its parent company Darden Restaurants Inc., in Orlando, Fla.
The second quarter report came after markets closed Tuesday.
Darden said there were 56 Yard House locations as of late September, compared with 48 at that time last year.
There are seven Yard House restaurants in Orange County.
The chain is part of Darden’s higher-end restaurant offerings, called the Specialty Restaurant Group.
That division had $329 million in total sales for the quarter, up 13%.
The group’s sales were about one-fifth of Darden’s $1.56 billion for the quarter.
Darden’s shares were up 3% in early trading Wednesday, to a market cap of $7.7 billion.
