HMWC to be Acquired by Eide Bailly

HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors, the 15th largest accounting firm in Orange County, will be acquired by Eide Bailly, effective May 18. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Tustin-based HMWC brings 13 partners and 80 staff to Eide Bailly, which has 350 partners and 2,500 staff. Fargo, N.D.-based Eide Bailly, with $385 million in annual net fees, is one of the 25 largest U.S. accountancies with 40 offices in 15 states, including 10 in California.

The deal “will help us serve clients even better by allowing us to offer additional resources and services,” HMWC Managing Partner Steve Williams said in a statement.

HMWC is 52 years old and has focused on industries including medical, dental, construction and real estate. Eide Bailly began in 1917 and has more than doubled its revenue since Dave Stende became managing partner in 2013.
