Lake Forest-based Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. has acquired an equipment distributor and reseller in Northern California.
Financial details of the transaction for Electro Imaging Systems Inc. in Livermore were not disclosed.
Electro, founded in 1994, offers document, network management and managed print services. It also sells, services and supports office printing systems and office phone systems.
It does not sell Toshiba America Business products.
Toshiba America Business has long served small and midsize businesses with its suite of scanners, printers, copiers and digital displays. It has about 165,000 U.S. customers.
The company generates about $1 billion in annual sales and employs over 2,800 in more than 100 U.S. offices and a toner plant in South Dakota.
Toshiba America Business recently moved its North American headquarters from Irvine to Lake Forest, a relocation prompted in part by lingering financial troubles at majority owner Toshiba Corp.
