Irvine-based St. Joseph Hoag Health said that in January it will introduce health plans developed with insurer Cigna Corp.
St. Joseph Hoag and Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna will offer St. Joseph Hoag Health Select, an HMO, and St. Joseph Health Flex, an “exclusive provider organization” with a narrowly tailored network.
St. Joseph Hoag and Cigna, which is working toward a merger with Indianapolis-based Anthem Inc., said Select and Flex “will be offered at significant savings” to their clients. Access to nine Orange County hospitals, along with eight medical groups and physician networks with some 1,700 doctors and numerous outpatient and urgent care facilities in the county, will be available through Select and Flex.
