Aliso Viejo-based chipmaker Microsemi Corp. reported revenue in the December quarter in line with Wall Street expectations, and an adjusted profit that beat estimates.
The company posted sales of $435.5 million, up 32.3% from a year earlier.
Adjusted profits hit $99.8 million, up 44% from a year earlier and topping analyst forecasts of $97 million.
OC’s largest local chipmaker by revenue provided a revenue and adjusted profit outlook for the March quarter in line with Wall Street expectations. It projects sales between $430 million and $450 million and adjusted profits between $99.3 million and $110.8 million.
The company in recent years has diversified offerings in the communication, Internet of Things and data center segments that augment its legacy positions in the military, industrial and aerospace sectors.
