Disney’s education and career network has added California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), and Fullerton College to the entertainment conglomerate’s Disney Aspire program.
Disney is offering 100% of tuition costs to hourly employees at a variety of universities and colleges. The Fullerton institutions join 13 other schools in the network.
Both colleges offer around 70 new degree and program offerings to the Disney network as the first Orange County-based educators to be included. Fullerton College will be available to participants starting August 9 with CSUF beginning this fall, according to Disney officials.
“This is just the first step in working together to help build a better tomorrow for Orange County and our community,” CSUF President Fram Virjee said in a statement.
Disney Aspire, which began in 2018, currently has over 13,000 employees enrolled. The Walt Disney Co., based in Burbank, employs 25,000, ranking it the second largest employer in Orange County, according to the Business Journal’s most recent list.
