Defense company Anduril Industries has expressed its “commitment to the defense of Taiwan,” supplying high-tech drones and promising to create local partnerships.
“Anduril is committed to supporting Taiwan and our allies across the Indo-Pacific with the technology they need to deter aggression and preserve stability,” Anduril founder Palmer Luckey said during a visit to the island this week.
Anduril has started supplying the Taiwanese with its Altius attack drone, which can “loiter” in the air before hitting its target. The Costa Mesa-based company is also opening an office in Taiwan, which remains under near-constant threat from neighboring China.
