Costa Mesa-based defense company Anduril has agreed to build a localized version of its Barracuda 500M cruise missile in Poland, military industry website Defense Post reported.
The signed memorandum of understanding between state-owned defense firm Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ) and Anduril covers the joint development and production of the missile system for the Polish Armed Forces, involving collaborations with Polish suppliers across the PGZ enterprise, according to Defense Post.
“This agreement paves the way for technology transfer, joint R&D and equipment development, which will strengthen the security of not only Poland but also the entire eastern flank of NATO,” PGZ CEO Adam Leszkiewicz was quoted as saying.
