Anduril Industries today introduced its line of Barracuda-M cruise missiles, configured in three different sizes for the American military and the country’s allies.
“Barracuda-M is the munition configuration of Barracuda that delivers a more affordable, producible, available, and adaptable cruise missile capability than existing options available to warfighters today,” the Costa Mesa-based company said in a statement today on its website. “Designed from the ground-up for hyper-scale manufacturing, Barracuda production rates are designed to keep pace with the threat and can be doubled on-call to meet short-term surges in demand.”
The statement said the missiles are designed for “the United States and our allies” but did not name a specific customer for the missiles. It called them “most producible cruise missiles on the market today.”
Anduril was founded by OC entrepreneur Palmer Luckey.
