Defense company Anduril Industries is considering opening a factory in the U.K., Bloomberg News reported, quoting Rich Drake, the U.K. and Europe manager for the Costa Mesa-based company.
Separately, Sifted, a media company following the European startup sector, quoted a source as saying the factory would produce attack drones and other autonomous weapons in addition to operating as a research and development hub.
The reports come as the U.K. and the European Union plan for a reduced U.S. military presence in Europe.
