Rivian Automotive Inc. announced on Wednesday a new collaboration with CrunchLabs, a STEM company founded by former NASA engineer and YouTube creator Mark Rober, aimed at bringing customers inside the engineering and technology behind Rivian’s vehicles.Â
Rober via CrunchLabs will create exclusive content that highlights the Irvine automaker’s electric platforms, autonomy investments and safety features in videos and at live events throughout 2026. Â
All videos and digital content will be posted on Rober’s social media accounts, which includes 73 million subscribers on YouTube alone. Â
The project will launch at SXSW on March 13 with an on-stage session between Rober and Rivian Founder RJ Scaringe. Â
“When companies make major investments in engineering, especially in areas like autonomy and safety, the real opportunity is helping people see how that innovation improves their everyday lives,” Rober said in a statement. Â
Rivian will also become Rober’s exclusive automotive partner.Â
“As we prepare to introduce new vehicles like R2 we want to peel back the curtain on technology that makes these experiences possible,” Scaringe added. Â
Shares of Rivian were up 1.6% to $15.36 apiece during midday trading with a $19 billion market cap (Nasdaq: RIVN). Â
