Mazda Begins Search for New CMO

Mazda North American Operations confirmed the search for a new chief marketing officer, with the resignation of Dino Bernacchi.

The executive’s resignation from the Irvine automaker is effective March 20.

“We truly appreciate Dino’s contribution to MNAO and wish him well in his future endeavors,” the company said in a statement. “During Dino’s tenure with MNAO, we saw consistent improvements in our brand opinion following the successful launch of our ‘Feel Alive’ campaign. This momentum continued with the launch of the CX-30.”

Bernacchi joined Mazda in 2017 and before that served as director of U.S. Marketing for Harley-Davidson Motor Co.

Brad Audet, executive vice president and general manager of Mazda’s advertising agency Garage Team Mazda, will head the marketing department while the company searches for a permanent CMO.
