Laura Schwab Parts Ways with Aston Martin Americas

Laura Schwab, president of Irvine-based Aston Martin Americas, has left her post at the luxury automaker.

The news was first reported by industry trade Automotive News.

“After five years with Aston Martin, Laura Schwab has elected to leave her post as regional president, Aston Martin the Americas in order to pursue other opportunities; effective Friday, November 13,” the automaker said in a statement sent to the Business Journal. “Aston Martin thanks her for her service and until a permanent successor is named, Ed Moran, head of sales for the Americas, will assume the role of interim president for the Americas, reporting to Jon Pollock, head of global sales, Aston Martin Lagonda.”

Schwab joined Aston Martin as its first female president in October 2015 from Jaguar Land Rover, where she was director of marketing. She oversaw one of Aston Martin’s largest geographic footprints as head of the Americas and told the Business Journal in 2016 “California is our largest market, with the greatest continued potential….”
