Kia America Inc. said its reservation site for its EV6 electric crossover will reopen Tuesday after being shut down last week for technical problems that prevented some consumers from being able to place their reservation.
Kia said the site is relaunching with more bandwidth after being closed June 3.
Consumers can put down a refundable $100 deposit for the first edition EV6, which is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of next year.
The first edition model has a manufacturer suggested retail price of $58,500.
The EV6 is part of an aggressive electrics plan by Kia and is the first of 11 electrics to be rolled out by the automaker globally by 2026.
