Hyundai Motor America has partnered with Popfly, a Costa Mesa-based online marketing platform that joins online influencers with makers of outdoor goods, adventure and travel brands, to offer one of its vehicles to a chosen Popfly content creator.
Popfly, which completed a $2 million seed-funding round in May, says it’s currently looking to hire an online creator as the startup’s new director of influence.
The automaker in turn will provide a year-long loan of a Hyundai Palisade XRT Pro as part of the new employee’s first brand partnership.
“Creator marketing has transformed from a nice-to-have into a non-negotiable growth engine for brands operating in today’s digital landscape,” Popfly Founder and Chief Executive Taylor Hoekstra said in a statement. “Partnering with Hyundai shows our commitment to putting creators first…”
Popfly said it has heard from over 500 applicants.
Hyundai Motor America, headquartered in Fountain Valley, is Orange County’s second largest automaker with more than 800 local employees.
