Genesis Brings Dealership Experience Home

Luxury automaker Genesis Motor America Inc. on Monday introduced a service to bring dealers into customers’ homes as carmakers continue trying to capture consumers still largely under COVID-19 stay-at-home orders.

The Fountain Valley-based company’s billing its Genesis Concierge program as a “white glove” service that links personal shoppers with drivers to help with remote vehicle shopping, at-home test drives and vehicle deliveries to Genesis dealers.

Prospective buyers start at the Genesis website to find personal shoppers who answers questions and coordinates working with dealers.

Genesis last year sold 21,223 vehicles, more than double the year-ago period.

This year it expects to release its first SUV, the GV80, with a starting price of $48,900.
