The Wooden Floor, one of the nation’s leading creative youth development organizations, welcomes two new members at large to their esteemed Board of Directors: Kim Nguyen and Roxanne Goodman.
“For over the past 15 years, The Wooden Floor has taken a proactive approach to developing exceptional board governance practices and assessing ourselves to Board Source’s national governance data. Strategic and diverse board development is one of our highest priorities,” states Dawn S. Reese, Chief Executive Officer of The Wooden Floor. “Each one of our board members reflects our organizational values and brings their unique lens and talents to our mission to inspire and transform the lives of more young people through the power of dance and access to higher education.”Â

Kim Nguyen is a Private Wealth Advisor for U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management, working with clients to create tailored wealth management strategies. “I am committed to supporting the students at The Wooden Floor. Through a proper foundation and with guidance, students can be empowered to reach their full potential and become the best version of themselves. Let’s invest in the next generation, encourage creativity, promote self-discovery, and provide access to quality education, affording the opportunity to accomplish their dreams and make a difference in the world,” said Nguyen.

Roxanne Goodman is the Controller for Mountain View Services, Inc. and Chem-Pak Products. “I feel passionately about working with The Wooden Floor through board service because I think I have a lot to offer through several different viewpoints. I am a parent of a dancer who now owns her own dance studio, a business professional who runs multiple businesses, a philanthropist, and a lifelong supporter of the arts. The students are provided opportunities I wish every child had. The more I have gotten involved with The Wooden Floor, the more excited I have become to help in any way I can,” said Goodman.
