RSM US LLP, a leading provider of professional services to the global middle market, is proud to welcome Jimmy Onizuka as Tax Partner and Matthew Wheeler as NetSuite Business Development Director to the firm.
With over 20 years of public accounting experience, Onizuka most recently served as a Managing Director at a Big Four accounting firm in Orange County. His primary focus involves serving corporate and private equity clients in the technology, consumer products, and healthcare industries, from emerging growth to large multi-national public companies.
Onizuka specializes in corporate tax and has expertise in areas such as accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), accounting methods, mergers and acquisitions, global expansions, and other federal, state, and international tax matters.
Onizuka holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. Beyond his professional achievements, Onizuka actively contributes to the community and serves on the Board of Ascend Orange County.

With over 20 years of seasoned experience in strategic sales roles, Wheeler has demonstrated a dedicated focus on driving revenue growth in cloud-based business software, with a specific emphasis on the last decade.
Most recently, Wheeler served as a Principal Account Manager at Intuit, playing a pivotal role in building a new team dedicated to Mid-Market sales. Before Intuit, he contributed to Oracle’s Mid-Market Fusion enterprise resource planning (ERP) team, expanding the company’s back-office software applications, including ERP, enterprise performance management (EPM), human capital management (HCM), supply chain management (SCM), and warehouse management system (WMS).
Wheeler is a BMW car enthusiast, often spending his free time at car shows, club gatherings, and competing in local racing events.
Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu and is set to continue his education at the University of California, Irvine’s Executive MBA program.
