Cody Tubbs has been named to Orange County United Way’s Board of Directors. He is the Director of Public Affairs at Edison International, the parent company of Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest electric utilities. He is also the current head of Local Government Relations at SCE. In his more than a decade-long utility career, Tubbs has led teams of government relations managers responsible for representing the company to local governments, educating and engaging community stakeholders, and resolving key issues, including in Orange County.
Tubbs is deeply dedicated to community involvement, previously serving as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Elk Grove; Regional Public Affairs Representative for the League of California Cities; and an aide to the late California Congressman Robert Matsui. Joining Orange County United Way’s Board of Directors is a natural extension of his desire to better the community where he has lived for nearly 15 years.
“I am eager to welcome Cody Tubbs to our esteemed Board of Directors, especially given his expertise in public affairs and great leadership experience,” said Susan B. Parks, President and CEO of Orange County United Way. “His unique insights as a leader in California will strengthen our board’s capabilities so that we can continue to enhance lives in Orange County.”
