On the Move: Girls Inc. of Orange County Appoints Four New Members to its Board of Directors

Girls Inc. of Orange County, the Santa Ana-based affiliate of the national non-profit whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, today announces four key appointments to its Board of Directors: Aminta Price, Janet Michels, Kristin Auslander, and Sybil Crum. The new members join a board comp rising 20 accomplished men and women in leader ship who represent diverse industries spanning aerospace, finance, consumer goods, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, and education, among others.

“With more than 80 years of combined experience, Aminta, Janet, Kristin, and Sybil bring a breadth of knowledge and expertise to Girls Inc. that is critical as we continue to scale our programs,” says Lucy Santana, CEO of Girls Inc. of Orange County. “Not only are each of these women talented leaders in their respective fields, they are also exceptional role models to our girls.”

As the regional Vice  President, Sales for PepsiCo, Aminta Price manages over $3.5 billion in annual sales for the West Coast. A skilled strategist, she sets the people agenda for more than 5,000 employees, manages customer relationships , and oversees in-store execution. Her two decades of experience ranges from manufacturing and product supply to sales, including 14 years working with Colgate Palmolive.

Now a seasoned, mission-driven non-profit advocate, Janet Michels spent decades in business leadership roles at companies ranging from start-ups and acquisitions to major corporations, including ADP and CDK Global. She was one of the founding members of ADP’s Executive Women in Leadership, charged with increasing female representation at the senior level, mentoring young leaders, and giving back to the community. This appointment marks a return to the Girls Inc. board for Michels, who previously served as board chair and sat on the organization’s finance, fundraising and executive committees during her more than a dozen years of service.

A leader in the field of STEM, Kristin Auslander is the Director of Airframe Service Engineering for Boeing’s Customer Support Organization. Her long tenure at the company has include d cross-country roles leading teams for the VC-25B and 737 MAX entry into
service, as well as product development for 787 and other projects. She has also supported the 747, 767 and 777 programs, primarily focused on certification integration.

Currently the Vice President of Marketing & Commercial Strategy for Disneyland Resort, Sybil Crum has more than 25 years of experience working in brand marketing across various industries. a consumer-focused executive, she has worked on major launches such as MyMagic+, Aulani, and the Disney Fantasy Cruise. Prior to joining Disney in 2004, Crum progressed through a series of strategic, marketing, and analytically-driven leadership roles with American Airlines.
