Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast proudly announces the appointment of six new members to its Board of Directors following the recent merger with Orange County 501(c)(3), Youth Employment Service (YES): Meline Carranza, Fiscal Manager for the County of Orange; Kaleigh Causey, VP of Client Reporting at PIMCO; Jordin Eakin, VP of Talent Acquisition at Banc of California; Sarah Recalde, Publisher at The Napa Crush Newspaper; Alison Salsbury, Relationship Manager VP at U.S. Bank; and Zeshaan Younus, VP of Curt Pringle & Associates.
Collectively, these new board members contribute more than 45 years of leadership experience in the fields of finance, law and recruitment, enhancing the already distinguished group of leaders serving on the board.
“As former Board President for Youth Employment Service (YES), I am excited for the impact we will achieve through the merger with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. It is a privilege to serve alongside an incredible staff, leadership team, and Board of Directors in support of a critical and timely mission,” says Younus.
The merger between Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast (the Club) and YES marks a significant milestone in addressing the workforce gap in Orange County, where there is a disparity in the skills and qualifications of the workforce and the requirements of specific job positions. It allows the Club to create two new initiatives: YES Workforce Development and YES Workforce Solutions.
- YES Workforce Development: a program for young adults to enhance their professional soft skills and career opportunities beyond graduation
- YES Workforce Solutions: works with employers seeking a pool of qualified entry-level candidates
“The Club’s merger with YES represents a defining moment for our organization, and signifies greater investment into our workforce development strategy and expansion of service for the youth we serve. The addition of YES’ staff & board to our Club, through this merger, strengthens our capacity to prepare young people for college and careers,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast Chief Executive Officer, Robert Santana.
