Mitsubishi Electric Promotes Corbo to Top Americas Rep 

Oversees $5B in revenue, almost 10,000 employees

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has promoted Mike Corbo to its top representative for the Americas. 

Corbo now adds the title of executive officer and chief representative for the Americas Region, Global Strategic Planning & Marketing Group to his role as CEO and president of Mitsubishi Electric US, the U.S. affiliate of Mitsubishi Electric Corp. Corbo is the first non-Japanese in both executive roles.  

Based in Cypress, Corbo now oversees a unit that generated $5 billion in sales in 2022 and employs almost 10,000. 

The company provides services such as HVAC systems, semiconductors and elevators and escalators. 

Corbo’s elevation gives him the opportunity to closely collaborate with the company’s global executives to set the corporate strategy across the world, which has implications for companies in Orange County that work with Mitsubishi Electric, the company said.
