Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics is opening a store at The Shops at Mission Viejo on Friday, its 32nd retail location in the state and 229th nationwide.
The Vancouver, Canada-based beauty products chain, known for its deli-counter style of merchandising cosmetics, will take up 708 square feet on the first floor of the mall. The space was formerly occupied by Something Silver jewelry store.
“The Shops at Mission Viejo is a lovely new addition to our family of stores across California,” said Alyssa Gates, Lush Cosmetics’ director of U.S. real estate, in a statement. “As a result of this new location, we have created 20 new jobs.”
Other recent arrivals at The Shops include Windsor Fashions Inc., which leased Aeropostale Inc.’s former space, and Brow Arc Salons, which replaced Regis Salon.
Luxury brand Coach left several months ago as did children’s clothier Naartjie. Temporary stores, Skin 63 and XCVI, are there until “permanent leases get worked through with the new tenants,” according to Patsy Sanquist, mall’s director of marketing and business development.
