SureStop moved its headquarters to Irvine from Palo Alto and named consultant Al Nordin its chief executive, according to a news report.
The company makes a single-level antilock brake for bicycles.
SureStop was formerly called SlidePad Technologies Inc.
Nordin had advised the company since February 2013.
“SureStop is a unique, innovative product aimed at improving the safety and simplicity of braking for riders of all skill levels,” he said.
The company said it’s adding brands and dealers that sell bikes made with its brakes.
Details on number of employees and the company’s sales were unavailable.
