McKeen New Managing Partner for O’Melveny & Myers

Global law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP has named a new managing partner for its Newport Beach office.

Elizabeth McKeen will head the office of 56 attorneys, as she succeeds Jeff Walbridge, who will become the chair of O’Melveny’s tax practice. Walbridge oversaw the Newport Beach office for two years and will continue as head of the firm’s practice focused on executive compensation and employee benefits.

McKeen joined O’Melveny in 2001 after earning her law degree from University of Virginia. She became partner in 2011 and has been serving in the financial services practice. McKeen represents mortgage lenders, banks and other financial services institutions in class actions and regulatory enforcement actions.

Los Angeles-based O’Melveny has 16 offices around the world and about 800 lawyers.
