Teacher Created Materials Inc., a publisher of educational books and other materials, bought an industrial building at 5482 Argosy Ave. in Huntington Beach for $3.6 million. The company is headquartered in the same city and will use the new 38,100-square-foot building to expand its sister company, Shell Education. Teacher Created Materials opened in 1977 in Huntington Beach and specializes in educational books for students in grade school. The deal is the largest industrial sale in terms of square feet in Huntington Beach in 2010, according to Mike Bouma of Voit Real Estate Services, which represented the seller, H and E Graham Trust. Terry Rylski of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp./Campbell Realtors Inc. represented Teacher Created Materials.
