Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo II has sold more than a million copies during the first two weeks of the release, making it the fastest-selling computer game in history, the company said.
Those numbers, tallied from figures by market research firm PC Data Inc. and some of Blizzard’s largest resellers, count copies purchased by customers. More than 2 million copies of the game have been shipped to retailers.
The original Diablo sold more than 2 million copies.
