Keith D. Crafton was named chief operating officer at Murphy, Murphy & Murphy in Los Alamitos. The law firm also hired Brian Castorena as a tax senior.


ARCHITECTURE

Taylor Woodrow Homes, Irvine, promoted Robert C. Liewer to vice president, land acquisition. Liewer has held positions at Greystone Homes and JM Peters Co.


EDUCATION

Lynn April Hartline was elected chairwoman of the board of the Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union.


ENGINEERING

Southland Industries, Irvine, hired Victor Sanvido as vice president of systems and operations. Sanvido was previously a professor of architectural engineering at Penn State University.


FINANCIAL SERVICES

PricewaterhouseCoopers admitted three new partners in its Orange County offices: Philip Sutton, Anne-Marie Vitale, and Kari-Lyn Williamson.

Deloitte & Touche LLP, Costa Mesa, admitted five new partners to its firm: Brenda Berry, Gary Grenrock, Scot Grierson, Ann Litke and Kim Valentine.


HEALTHCARE

Edwards Lifesciences Corp., Irvine, named J. Randall Nelson corporate vice president and president of the company’s North American region. Nelson previously was president of Equidyne Corp.


HOSPITALITY

The Hilton Anaheim hired Kevin Peterson as director of food and beverages. David L. Hollway was appointed director of property operations.


HUMAN RESOURCES

Robert Half International, Laguna Niguel, hired Jamie Miller as branch manager.

Accountemps promoted Jennifer Beckett to division director.


LAW

Deborah M. Rosenthal joined the Orange County office of Cox, Castle & Nicholson as senior counsel specializing in land use and environmental law.

Richard Derevan was named president of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers. Derevan is a partner of the Irvine law offices of Snell & Wilmer.

Sonia Lister and Carole Reagan were promoted to counsel at Morrison & Foerster in Irvine. Mark Payne joined the office in the labor & employment law department. The company also hired Edson McClellan as an associate in the labor and employment law department. Rajka Hayden was hired as marketing manager for the Orange County and San Diego offices.

Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue hired Allan W. Jansen as a partner of its Irvine office.


MANUFACTURING

Datum Inc., Irvine, appointed Alfred Boschulte to the company’s board of directors. Boschulte is president and chief executive officer of Detecon Inc.


MARKETING

Mia Castillo was appointed account coordinator for The Peterson Group in Newport Beach.

Nexgenix Inc., Irvine, appointed Mark Iwanowski chief operating officer. Before joining Nexgenix, Iwanowski was the chief operating officer at Science Applications International Corp.


NONPROFITS

Stephanie Guastella was named executive director for Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Guastella previously worked at the University of Southern California/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Hospital.

The Santa Ana office of the American Red Cross appointed Kathryn “Kit” M. Hope assistant director of disaster operations. Hope has been with the American Red Cross for 20 years, holding positions as station manager for the Armed Forces Emergency Services in Puerto Rico, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.


PERFORMING ARTS

The Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Santa Ana, elected Michael S. Gordon chairman of the board. Gordon is co-chairman of StoneCreek Capital, Inc. of Newport Beach and director of IHOP. John Stahr was appointed executive vice chairman, William Podlich vice chairman of finance and Douglas Freeman vice chair of development.


PUBLIC RELATIONS

DSYL Marketing and Public Relations, Fullerton, hired Dori Avila-Clarke as marketing manager. Avila-Clarke will be targeting technology and computer companies.

InhouseIT of Newport Beach appointed Britton Jasper public relations director. Jasper previously worked with Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.


REAL ESTATE

Elyse Ridenour was named vice president at Roxburgh in Costa Mesa.

Colliers Seeley International Inc., Irvine, appointed Catherine Rubenstein vice president of the firm’s investment services group. Rubenstein spent 11 years with Marcus & Millichap of Los Angeles.

Charles “Chas” Aufhammer joined Wohl Investment Co. of Irvine as director of marketing and leasing. Aufhammer was director of leasing for Olen Commercial Realty of Newport Beach for the past 10 years.

The Orange County office of Beazer Homes promoted Clarence Clemons to vice president of sales. Tracey Long was promoted to new home lead manager. Andrea Kanel was promoted to vice president of escrow and closings. Karen Johnson was promoted to marketing administrative assistant. Beazer also appointed Dan Moore senior vice president of sales. Tony Del Grippo was hired as forward planning manager. Cynthia Gonzalez was appointed escrow coordinator.


RESTAURANTS

Marie Callender’s Pie Shops Inc., Orange, promoted Victoria Houghton-Orr to director of marketing. Houghton-Orr has been with the company for 15 years.
