Yorba Linda-based Office Solutions, the largest independent commercial office supply company in Southern California, has acquired South Coast Stationers of Costa Mesa.
Office Solutions, which ranked No. 23 on the most recent Business Journal list of largest women-owned businesses in Orange County, hopes the acquisition will increase its consumer base and open up more e-commerce possibilities.
All 31 employees of South Coast were offered similar positions at Office Solutions and 25 accepted the offer, the company said.
Office Solutions, which had $18 million in revenue in 1999, a 29% increase from 1998, said the acquisition of South Coast is one step in an effort to expand nationwide and it anticipates other acquisitions in the future.
The firm counts GTE, The Gas Company, and UC Irvine as clients.
