Academic health system UCI Health has announced the opening of a new outpatient center in Brea.
Patients will have access to ophthalmologists from the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, which has become one of the nation’s biggest ophthalmology research institute, as well as ear, nose and throat specialists at the new UCI Health—Brea Outpatient Center.
Northern Orange County residents can now remain closer to home instead of traveling to Irvine for the institute’s treatment and services, according to officials.
“We are proud to further expand access to clinical innovation, scientific discovery and team-based specialty care in this region,” Tatyana Popkova, chief strategy officer and senior vice president of ambulatory, said in a statement.
