Seattle-based Security Properties Inc. and Capmark Finance Inc. paid $30.3 million for the 188-unit La Serena Apartments at 727 S. Lyon St. in Santa Ana. The apartments sold for $161,000 apiece.
Universal Properties Inc., a Michigan owner and manager of medical real estate, paid $15.4 million to Mayflower Properties LLC for a medical building at 1501 Superior in Newport Beach. Kevin Quick, Mike Abel and Brian Garbutt of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. represented the buyer.
Stroscher Investments LLC paid $7.5 million to a private developer for Heritage Plaza, a 15,000-square-foot shopping center at 137 W. First St. in Tustin. Scott Hook of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. represented the seller.
Orange County Ears, Nose and Throat paid $3.6 million to AEA Investments for two buildings on 17,150 square feet of space at 361 and 363 N. Newport Blvd. in Newport Beach.
