Ware Malcomb added four people to its Irvine headquarters. Hired in the commercial department were: Nicole Bienkowski as senior job captain; Geovanny Mendoza as senior job captain; and Melinda Veregge as project manager. Christine Cho joined as job captain in the interior design department. Ware Malcomb also promoted Ilyes Nouizi to job captain in the Irvine resource services group.

Ronald D. Stumpf, partner of the accounting firm Elliott, Lewis, Lieber & Stumpf Inc. in Santa Ana was named chairman of Southland Economic Development Corp. for 2005. Stumpf previously held the same position in 1999 and 2000 and has held other positions with the group since 1997.

Eric Wong was appointed Orange County market manager at the Irvine office of Tampa, Fla.-based Kforce Inc. Wong will lead the Executive Solutions Group, a finance and accounting consulting practice for the Southern California market, as well as manage the firm’s finance and accounting flex staffing team.

Irvine-based RBF Consulting named Thomas Carmody, Michael Chesney, Brian Hixson, Anna Lantin, Bob Matson, Cindy Miller, Michael Moore and Ron Pflugrath vice presidents.

Syndia Attardo joined the Costa Mesa office of U.S. Trust as vice president and portfolio manager. Attardo previously was vice president and senior portfolio manager for Wells Fargo Private Asset Management in Newport Beach.

Stanley Otake was retained as president of Alliance Health Network Inc. of Newport Beach. Otake has 20 years of experience in healthcare, specifically as a marketing executive and as chief executive for a hospital and a surgery center.

Jerome K. Miller became regional vice president at the Irvine office of Westlake Village-based The Marquis Group, a human resources contract services and consulting firm. Miller formerly was vice president of human resources for Midland Credit Management Inc. in San Diego.

Suzanne V. Chamberlain was elected the 2005 chairwoman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Orange County Bar Association. Chamberlain is a member of the Newport Beach law firm Chamberlain and Viau.
Howrey, Simon, Arnold & White LLP named Russell B. Hill partner. Hill previously was a senior associate in the firm’s intellectual property practice at its Irvine office. He has technical expertise in electronic systems as well as experience in biotechnology, software and mechanical process patent disputes.

Nicholas M. Testa of Jonah, Acuity Consulting Inc. in Cypress was named president-elect of APICS The Association for Operations Management in Alexandria, Va. The group formerly was known as the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center named Dick Demmer to its board. Demmer, a retired Army brigadier general and former mayor of Placentia, spent most of his career in the business arena and currently is a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker.

Newport Beach’s Lowell Petrie became vice president of marketing for Tustin-based Mimi’s Cafe, a unit of Columbus, Ohio-based Bob Evans Farms Inc. Petrie most recently was vice president of marketing for Ruby’s Diner Inc. in Newport Beach.
RETAIL
Irvine-based California Scents, which makes air freshener products, added Dave Slingsby as executive vice president. Slingsby previously was regional vice president for the Southern California market at Target Corp.
