Orange County has 282 drug and device makers. Nearly 9% of them employ one to four workers.

23% have 20 to 49 employees. About 4% have 500 or more workers. Irvine has 73 drug and device makers, more than any other OC city. Anaheim takes the No. 2 spot with 28. Santa Ana is No. 3, with 22 (see Special Report, page 27).
