The Kids Institute for Development & Advancement gathered a roster of experts and drew hundreds of healthcare professionals and parents to the 3rd Annual Summit on Autism at the University of California, Irvine’s Bren Center on Sept. 17. Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter delivered the keynote address, reminding attendees that family members should be mindful of the strains they encounter as they care for children with autism. Other speakers focused on subjects ranging from the positive effects of family involvement to the latest technological innovations in the treatment of autism.
