Smile Brands Group Inc., a provider of business services for dentists, is moving its corporate headquarters from Santa Ana to Irvine.
Smile said it signed a lease with Irvine Company to occupy nearly 50,000 square feet of space at 8105 Irvine Center Drive. Terms of the lease weren’t disclosed.
The company will be moving from its current location at Hutton Centre in Santa Ana within the next 30 days, Irvine Co. said in a release. Smile occupies 33,400 square feet of space in Santa Ana, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Smile, which operates Bright Now Dental and other brands and has annual revenue of about $455 million, was slated to make an initial public offering of its stock this year.
But it dropped that plan in late May, citing “general market conditions.” The company had initially postponed plans for its offering, which was going to raise $130 million after expenses, amid Wall Street volatility in early May.
Smile provides support services to more than 1,100 dentists and hygienists in 300 offices.
